The only drawback thus far is, it states it will coat two rifles. I followed the online video from the manufacturer and was only able to coat two Glock slides. Were it be I'd either parkerize it first of use some primer. Duracoat is some tough stuff but in the end it is still paint. Thus prep work determines the final product.

Be careful because the last 5th of the can it starts to sputter and shoot out globs of paint. Matte black was pretty much semi gloss I don't know why that is.
